Recent trip to Napa and picked up a case or so of experiments.  Of this lot, TWO were SYV wines.  Now here’s what’s interesting:  Probably for the OPPOSITE reason you do not find much Napa/Sonoma wine on the central coast, BOTH of these wines were dreadful.  Hmmmmm  ‘Job Security’ anyone?  This thing was cab-based and just a train-wreck from the get-go.  Thin and fruity, Kool-aide, rosey, badly oaked crap.  Really.  I’ve already wasted too many words on it.  Sorry, I didn’t note the AL.   ◊
