Deep glass-staining ruby with orange edges. Really intoxicating nose… for a short while. Instant tannin hit with aging fruit and thinning middle. Meager finish. Fell apart noticeably in decanter over a couple hours. Fruit will not outlast everything else. Note this is not your supermarket Chateau Souverain, but HOME VINEYARD. Not even sure you can buy these anymore. A tasting room does not exist since Francis Ford Copolla moved into the old Chateau. Online sales only through a weird middle-man site. All very strange. Too bad. Always one of my favorite labels.
