I heart Barossa so hard. Opaque. Peaty, smoldering earthen nuance and the French oak comes in hard. Almost a crushed-ant spiciness and gorgeous fruit. It has a ‘real wine’ nuance–minuscule flaws which tell you it’s real. Dry and grating but a ‘perceived sweetness’←god I hate that term, but using it here is inescapable, as it brings everything into balance. Really nice stuff. 14-5. ♦♦
