One of my all-time fav Alex’s.  No fancy label, no crazy art, no prose on the back about the balance of sky and earth and fire on a family who brought winemaking with them from 12th century Europe.  Just: SIMI. And you can buy it at most decent groceries.  This one’s still just black ink with ruby edges.  OMG TAKE MY CLOTHES OFF NOW just INTOXICATING sensual nose.  Velvet-hammers of tannin.  Really not feeling that much age on it–maybe a tiny bit polished, but overall bright and lively.  Fruit might not out last structure, but we will see.
