Ripe and fresh, giant nose and not especially fruit-forward. Just balanced and nice. Would never guess 2011. What has happened to PS’s which needed decades to approach? This is the most un-PS I have ever tasted, but I like them big and brawny.
That is not to say this is light. Quite the contrary, just ALREADY a very easy-to-drink wine. User-friendly. Perhaps the new direction of PS. Taken on it’s own, a decent, solid wine. Taken in the light of how I classically feel PS’s should be presented at this age, I am not blown away.
