Bright clear ruby with purple edges, light pinkish garnet under light. Nutty and full with briar, lavender and spicy conifer wood smoke with a gamy Cynar brittleness. Warm hay and cherry jelly.
In the mouth, a beautiful bright fruit-acid-dark fruit-tannin scenario of lovely young Pinot. Instant crisp acidity follows the initial blast of fruit which deepens but thins a bit over the middle as smoky tar and ample tannins take over. This is a lovely little pinot–and not expensive. In half-bottle.
