Graceful Grenache

I don’t usually blog at the table, but when something hits on this level it demands sharing.  It is not often a BTG selection wows me so much.  Being poured at Thomas Hill Organics in Paso Robles and this is the most stunning Grenache I have had in some time.  Light ruby and clear. Steely and crisp, explosive crushed floral and mineral nose, delightful acidity, shockingly un-flabby and lacking most of the sins regularly apparent in *a lot* of Grenache.  I’m not saying I don’t like Grenache for Grenache’s sake, it’s just….. This thing is on-point and bright and lovely.  I haven’t had Grenache like this since a-non-ah-mous. Lively fresh tannin and not a hint of the 14-1. Really stellar.  Find it.
