Fluorescent glowing canary thin straw with clear edges. Nutty bouquet with a certain clean floral spiciness but not grassy… just… apple and flabby non-oakedness. There is a densely layered fruitiness which–of course–defies oak-n-butter but still is Chardonnay unequivocally. A certain artichoke-stem piquantness rides through all and dumps you out into the sweet finish where acidity finally catches up and balances things out. I mean… what do you say about a wine like this? I am trying to find redeeming qualities and layers of complexity and and just left with yellow vapidness. It’s good.. I guess? Whatever. Warm, flat, nothingness in a nutty shell. Life’s too short for bottles like this.
