Dark clear ruby, somewhat staining with a tiny pink edge.  Weird nose I can’t quite put my finger on but not pleasant.  Electrical fire.  Burnt caramel.  Chemicals.  Inside of an innertube.  Bug spray.  Underneath all a bit of fruit.  Steely and full in the mouth, packed with the requisite Alex pepper and spice though light on the briar.  Smoky and full over a crisp, acidic body.  A really solid–if a bit forgettable–cab well worth the price.
