Obscure ruby with completely staining red edges. Concentrated fruit-reduction entry tied with an overt ripe citrus and gamey balance. I like this quite a bit. It isn’t one of my favorite IGT’s, but is perfectly serviceable and does a good job of awakening my Cali sensibilities to the fact that all Super-Tuscans are not necessarily incredible fruit-bombs. Incredible acid on entry, tied seamlessly into the tannin which will grow and overcome. The beautiful bright-prune nose associates perfectly with the beautiful bright-plum taste. Nearly obnoxious tannins obliterate everything in the end. This thing is SUCH a baby. Almost criminal to serve it presently.
