Clear medium ruby, ambering edges. Nice cinnamon nutmeg spice over fairly simple fruit and a little turpentine. Nice entry-level stuff from this label, lots going on and NOT to be confused with 30$ Monterey or Carneros or Edna entry level stuff. This is not Meomi.
In the mouth, the roar of green tannin grows after an initial blast of ripe, supple black-cherry and a graphite streak. Enough funk to keep a snob happy and definitely accessible enough in the *rich & round* category to keep an unsophisticated pinot-palate coming back.
