Dark straw. Big floral nose hinting at peat and toast with effusive briar and a lil rubber band. Not-quite-ripe pineapple and chalky minerality. Serious polish visible in the nose but NOTHING like some of the fat oak-ridden bombs I have previously aged almost a decade. Yes, I drink Chardonnay, people. Sheesh. Bright and spicy, fabulous acid, some wet concrete and finishes with a slight burn.
