Holy wow what’s not to love about a yeasty round sparkler with SO much brilliant fruit! Full, rich and dense, with effervescence lifting what is probably a ridiculously good Sauvignon Blanc to begin with up into ethereal areas.
I fell in love with these wines a couple years ago in Santa Monica, rushed home to figure out who they were and their story and since then they’ve been popping up all over. I DARE you to pull one of these out alongside CA methode bubbly OR pet-nat and not have people explode.
Oh ya, and those are my new Libbey Signature sparkling glasses. STOP drinking bubbles in flutes and tulips, people. You’re destroying the wine. And Yes, Libbey makes a real glass now. Finally.
