Sparkling>Champagne

Laetitia second label often seen for deep discounts around CA–not sure why, but when you can buy estate méthode for under 20 or even 10 bucks, I don’t argue.

Not my style of bubbles however. Deep yellow, smells, acts and tastes like Champagne, VINTAGE Champagne, more accurately, and I find the toasted almond, deep buttery richness and polished acidity boring and tired. This has ALL these qualities in SPADES, so if you are a classic Reims lover–especially anything with a lil age on it–you will worship this wine. YES I JUST SAID THAT: I prefer CA sparklers to (almost all) Champagne. I like my bubbles with a pulse, pale and bright, with crisp fruit. Sue me.
