Sweaty crushed bug goodness on a wet sandpaper bed of thin beauty with incredible drying tannins balancing the must and vegetal against vivacious fruit. How can you possibly love a cheap Italian red any more?!?! An absolute BARGAIN just waiting to happen, and this little thing dishes out funk and fruit in SPADES. I could destroy this wine on a myriad of “clean, fruit-driven wines” levels, but why? It is flat out brilliant on so many other levels. It BEGS for food, delicate sauces and charcuterie and cheese. Get with it!
