Found this little plaything lurking, lurking beneath my cellar floor. I’m in absolute shock what good shape it’s in. I mean, it’s a cheap wine there’s no mistaking that but has this great nutty fruit a little bit burnt, big alcoholic nose kind of stings shallowly alongside big flowery–wilted flower–bouquet and pretty decent fruit but it was cheap fruit to begin with so to say it’s faded is an understatement and an overstatement at the same time. Very very peppery tannins finish things off and you’re left with this nice cinnamon glow. Anyone had a recent Clos Du Bois North Coast? I’m a huge fan of the winery and have been for almost 30 years but I never drink this um… particular um… blend.
