Musty and dank, showing WAY beyond its 5 years, a glowing testament to: “If it’s not good in the first place, making a riserva won’t help”. Ridiculously over-oaked, fruit reduced to bitter heart-broken eucalyptus and the middle resembling something un-house-broken, this supermarket-maven has only one thing not boring about it: the heat on the finish.
It’s one of those bottle which honestly isn’t *horrible* but one you begin comparing it to real wine, the question of WHY rises up hard.
