A wine of shocking spirit and verve: where the grassy lemon leaves off and the brilliant floral begins is a vague region on the palate, with each crescendoing onto the other in masterful balance and flavor-packed decisiveness. At warmer temperatures it is rich and round, filling the nose and tongue with solid thrusts of butter and sprite–cooler it churns acid into the fruity fray, the shriek of mineral unable to be calmed. Pale and clear in the glass, the amount of varietal concentration overwhelming. Can we start a new saying: Grenache Blanc delivers what Chardonnay promises?
