A ripe, luscious wine embodying everything a small number of Napa producers at 3X the price dream for and capturing it effortlessly while still managing glorious balance. Deep, impenetrable ruby in the glass, a fair bit of sediment, a nose greasy with gravel roads and pond-water algae while dark cherry plumps and spreads its legs for enjoyment. Svelte and polished while only barely slutty: supermodel trim while curves and sway bow the catwalk. Decanted heavily.
Gritty and granular on entry, the acid throbbing to swollen degrees under lithe, leggy swagger. The fruit a curt glimpse of curvaceousness where your eyes don’t dare go, but the appeal of everything minimally clothed is erotic in its inescapability. Dark velvet black cherry prods the senses throughout the middle, the vegetal briar hinting at hidden ink and a back-story of fueled after-parties and passports to elitism, a tannic finish the leg-under-the-table prod that will make you leave the dinner early in search of this ethereal being in a room number only hinted at. But honestly? She’s not that un-approachable, and you’re gonna find her in the lobby bar sharing whiskey-rocks with the soldiers. But you’re different.
