Crisp, easy and beautiful, A Central Coast Albarino NOT from Edna Valley, but estate vineyards on the east side of Paso. Warm, nutty and vibrant in the nose, with many hints of splendor to come. Peach fuzz and banana bread create savory textures, and tasting it brings all to life with aplomb.
No decadent fruit resides in the palate, it’s all blistering acid and chalky funk feeling almost peppery against mild green apricot and a touch of lychee. Gaspingly dry across the middle and into finish, calm but bitter as obvious tannin play their role in a perfectly balanced, un-slutty white which could easily go another half-decade.
