Despite all the horrible things I’ve said about 2010 over the past decade and pretty much any highly hyped magazine-jerk-off vintage in general, this has to be one of the tightest wines for the vintage I’ve ever experienced. Not a spec slutty, tannins are a bit soft but massaged nicely into wine restrained and beautiful. Grit and glamour abound, becoming a bit pliable in the glass after an hour, but nothing subtracting from balance.
