This is so gorgeous. Since 2011 I’ve been toying with 2014 or 2017 as what would be my favorite restrained and unpopular vintage from Napa valley, and at 9, this is showing a lot of the hallmarks of a great old school vintage. #winebro gonna hate on its lack of effusive fruit, ripeness and concentration but this is what I’m here for. Beautiful mint and briar in the nose, a chalky cherry solidifying the mouthfeel while nothing whores anything out for the 99. Classic Napa cab, and we should make more wines like this.
