Clear and light in the glass, a nose calm and sweet: full of soft florals, appley fruit, oak and fresh butter. A bit more powerful on the palate: full-bodied and rich, showing numerous complexities we appreciate from this variety under careful bottling. Plum and pear with a sort of carmelized decadence to all, it balances well right down into a bit of pithy bitter tannin on finish.
