I believe this was Dusty’s second vintage of cab, still sourced from Paso Robles and shortly thereafter moved his sourcing to Happy Canyon. At the time, there were only a handful of cabernets edging the $100 mark, but of course that is now commonplace. This one could go on forever, it’s in a great place, though classic Paso chubbiness does chime in and cause an asterisk. It’s rich and round and ripe, with structural components of the *easy* variety in both the nose and palate. A super sumptuous wine, and a great blast down memory lane.
