The most expensive wine I ever stole was a 1967 Charles Krug cab, and since then the brand has always held a special place in my heart. This is the most beautiful wine I’ve had this month, possibly longer but I killed those brain cells. Just a stunning unbelievable wine, full of briar and nutty, gorgeous fruit with a glacier nose and rocky bottoms climbing to ethereal lofts of gloss. What am I going to do when all of my 2011s are gone? Drink beer, I suppose. And be sad.
