I’ve been a bit concerned lately with how the 2018s are showing and granted, I tend to buy mostly what I consider *cheap Bordeauxs*, those under 45 bucks. But still some of them are not showing so well and decided to revisit this Merlot. I hate to say I told you so but anytime you have a beautiful lush ripe incredible vintage by the standards of those who appoint points to things, you end up with something that possibly doesn’t last very long. Big beautiful California style fruit, lush sumptuous extravagance, and this wine is also headed somewhat south. This is still the most beautiful and possibly cheapest of some I’ve had recently, but it’s drinking at absolute peak. Drink’em up!
