This needs some time to settle down and flush out a little bit. It drinks like a barrel sample right now. Smells pretty good, nice and fruity, a little jolly rancher, a little herbaceous citrus, a little chubby fruit and then you taste it. Crazy blood orange on the uptake, moderating out to a ridiculously astringent cardboardy sort of acidity cloaking any generous fruit. The middle a nice transparent weedy fruit though. Kind of a disjointed wine at the moment but with potential. Give it 6 months. Maybe a year. It might settle down.
