This is a fairly beautiful pinot. Settling into dark arenas here at ten but with years to go. Fruit is expectedly fading, but in the grand scheme of pinot: how much fruit do we want? It is rather glorious on all accounts, rich berry laid down nicely on acid and structure. It grasps at things a LOT of pinots fail to deliver at 10. Sultry and savory, nothing benign, everything focused on delivering that nutty wholesomeness we all crave.
