Fairly simple nose. A little rhubarb, alcohol, and dark fruit. Quite green and closed-in. Decanted a bit it doesn’t so much open up but actually thins out considerably. The smoky rubber of the bouquet trumps the initial fruit.
Beautiful color and visible density, but thinnish entry turning almost immediately to chewable, blistering tannins. Very very young, but not sure where this one is going. Sure it will be easier on the palate in a decade, but will there be fruit left? A decent value.
