Clear and bricking with some sediment. Big oaky nose, somewhat briary but clean and well-rounded, showing considerable polish. Doesn’t really smell like a 10yo cab–enough vibrant fruit to give one the impression of something half that age. Gobs of the expectant dark-cherry Paso fruit but with just enough acid still to pull it off in a quite balanced package, somewhat simply-layered with spice and floral-notes. Drinking absolutely at it’s prime, and with a certain amount of air definitely heads a porty-direction. Supple and clean–nothing off-putting or awkward and all-in-all an elegant offering. 14-1 and, if you can find it or have it, a solidly recommended ♦
