Oh How I Love Bien Nacido

Light garnet with wide clear edges.  Let’s get one thing straight right off the bat:  This is the funkiest, dirtiest, shittiest, filthiest, moldiest, merde-ridden Pinot Noir I have ever smelled in my life.  Absolutely jam-PACKED with barnyard/horse-stall/shit and over all a deep ripe black-cherry fruit of incredible ripeness and a wet-concrete minerality.  It is a WONDERFUL-smelling Pinot.  Dense oak plays nicely into the bouquet as well.  In the mouth, crisp acidity bites hard up front as the generous fruit crescendos toward the ample tannin.  Block R?  A bit under-stuffed in the middle and definitely green in the finish, but what a lovely bottle.
