Brilliant clear medium ruby with thin pink edges.  Intense minty euc and toasted briar layered over gobs and gobs of oak.  Stemmy, wet-leaf sweetness, round and un-intimidating.  Fell absolutely in LOVE with this guy’s Grenache, the Pinot wasn’t really my thing, the rosé interesting and the Grenache Blanc lovely.  But this is my first experience with the Syrah.  Definitely a crowd-pleasing style, rich and sweet in the mouth with more of that lovely oak.  Fairly ample tannin barely manages to raise its head above the lushness.  2010 A-Non-Ah-Mus Syrah Santa Barbara County Alisos Vineyard   15-4  ♦
