At 1,400 feet, the coastal mountain weather makes both vines and fruit hearty. Day and night temperature swings make fruit smaller and thicker skinned, concentrating flavor and color. The altitude and hilly limestone location make a short growing season.

The 2014 Montepuciano is a rich, expressive, and balanced wine. With a little breathing the wine opens to a bouquet of dark chocolate covered berries, cedar, and anise. The vanilla oak is subtle on the palate. But, the long, lingering finish makes this a memorable wine. Paired nicely with spaghetti & pork loin smothered in Parmesan 💥 Looking forward to trying ALL their Rhone and Meritage compositions, and Zinfandel…stay tuned!!!
