Rosy and dark-fruited. A kiss of sage and briar pull together cake-frosting, raw beef and vegetable-prep in a chilly walk-in. Pure zinfandel fruit–and unabashedly so–warm and round and tinged with carmelized dryness.
In the mouth, briskly charming from entry. A sharp acid staves off any initial assumptions of pruneyness but gradually have to back down to the onslaught of ripe, perfumed typicity. Sweet cherry-nectar crescendos with a tiny heat zenith to close out the long finish with a touch of tannin.
