Black-dark purple, impenetrable density. Big mangy wet dog covered in cream cheese frosting with tropical fruit sprinkles and dull cooked floral, but far more subdued than you would expect from the color and provenance–just a little dirty game and a smile–honestly, that’s about it. Mutton, squished berry, and kinda what I imagine a beaver smells like.
Thin in the mouth–far more meager than the color would advertise–and plenty of acid served up with thin fruit before the whole thing devolves quite unceremoniously into a wall of rusty tannin. A pretty one-dimensional wine, lacking even a charade of elegance or complexity and no amount of decanting or aging will help.
