Rosato Me This

I drink rosé all year long, but 80° days here at the beach sure make it easier to quaff. This Castello di Amorosa is from their new vineyard holdings in Anderson Valley and is of course Pinot rosé, which gets it its first asterisk. It also bears the esteemed award of FIRST ROSÉ WITH A WAX SEAL, which I’m trying hard not to hold against it.

It goes from a chalky little dry toffee saline nose to a robust aging-strawberry roundness and and alcohol–both in feel and label–which argues against any impressions of sweetness. 6/10 would smash.
