I love these wines because they are a nice middle ground between ridiculous green Burgundy & Oregon and big fat California bosom buddies. Perfect deep garnet, nice latex, oilcloth, burnt rubber, a gentle stemminess laced with peach and nectarine that hedges itself oh-so-cautiously toward black cherry.
Smooth, round entry, dark bitter fruit slowly climbing all over, coating every pore with sharp graphite beauty. Barnyard–not apparent in the nose, shockingly–plows the funk choo-choo-train straight into more bright green that hands you blistering tannins. It’s amazing the roller coaster a simple Santa Ynez Valley Pinot Noir can put you through.

Awesome review. Thanks again. Phil
