Rich maraschino, almost whiskey-like nose, beautiful candied cherry sliding on mud, wet green penny, and cream cheese frosting.
Succulent and round in the mouth, though sharp and bright. Yes these two are possible side-by-side in Alexander Valley quite easily. A bit of alcoholic burn, and a finish quite short-lived, not complaining one bit. It’s gorgeous and I don’t have to sell this wine to you. If you know, you know. He doesn’t make cab every year–only when it’s GOOD. And I have learned when he makes cab to buy it. So pay attention.
