Big deep smoky campfire musk in the nose with a warm vegetal backing on deep cherry cola chubbiness. Teensy green stemminess peeks through, but all clouded in sticky-sweet berry.
Thinner than expected in the mouth, a spritely acidity perches on top, enveloping most of the chubbiness. A clean middle–mostly acid of an almost contrived sort–fades into a smooth finish punctuated with more vegetal and nary a tannin in sight.
Nice, easy-drinking Syrah with a little tooth-ache here and a little puckering there and not much else.
