Funky lil bish tonight off the Giuseppe’s list. This was the lesser of 2 juvenile crimes on the list (and this one was supposed to be a 12), the other being a 2017 Crognolo. Brettily brilliant, smoky fruit and ridiculous tannin. More fruit in the finish than anywhere else. Lithe throughout, with raspy structure poking out everywhere. Would NEVER guessed this thing 15-oh. Now I’m looking everywhere for chubby fruit down in the rustic mire. Will check in on it tomorrow. 100% Sagrantino in barrel for 3 years. Back label calls it “velvety” with “soft tannin” I mean–are we even drinking the same bottle???
