Dark ruddy ruby, must slightly garnet at the edge. Piquant buggy vegetal, and earthy funk, some brett alongside the stemmy cherry and manure-muddy road. Pithy and stiff in the mouth, fruit still wrapped in the strong arms of citrus and tannin, finish sharp and pie-cherry bright–more acid than tannin. Gorgeous at 10, and one of my favorite RRV examples. Syrah from a Pinot master: like I always say….
