Not ALL of the wines in my recent Calaveras County romp were bad, just many were… ummm… *awkward*. But just when you start feeling despondent about the local wines, THIS magically pops up on a list. Thank you baby jesus.
Gritty and rustic, showing perfect early patina of age, this wine from Easton is a CLASSIC California go-to for Rhone typicity. I often compare this wine to Le Cigare Volant, as for me they exemplify the same vein of characteristics. Awesome stuff!
