This is the California Pinot all Oregon Pinots aspire to be. Big, rich, round and buttery, a mashed-fruit ripeness combined with a lack of anything truly inspiring about the variety. Clear garnet with a ruby core, a nose flatulent in sweetness and sullied, bruised and roasted berry. Slight bitter frames the entry and middle into a finish piquant with odd spiciness. A wine so flush with notes and nuances the 99 adore it is impossible to recommend.
