Dark ruby, slightly staining. Massive buttery roasted nose, stemmy and mineralific headed out towards rootbeer but broken-stem saddle and kidskin over a lavish concoction of icing and mud completely lacking in caramel and a ripeness so restrained it defies description. Holy fucking wow. In the mouth, a steely dirt-road situation saturated in luscious black-cherry perfection firing along perfectly balanced lines of cocaine eucalyptus and mint. A bit match-heady in the bouquet and a bit briary in the mouth but holy wow the fruit is there and will blossom. This is a wine intriguing to drink now and still obliteratingly adolescent.
