Dark ruby with thin clear edges. Black and staining. A little fresh-baked bread and salty latex pumps up the lovely funk initially before gently exposing all of its heavenly petrichor and thick black cherry concentrate with minty highlights. What an amazing little wine. You can do A LOT worse for 15$. I just spent the day in Paso tasting very well-bred Cab and let me tell you you can do a lot worse for SEVENTY-FIVE dollars. This thing just keeps kickin, no weirdness, no off-stuff, no fruit-FWD, no strange third-world rusticity, just plain old good wine. Rusty steel and stormclouds, then in the mouth mild Italian sausage, dried cranberry and warm carbon-fibre. Fairly heavily distributed, so ask around and you will find it.
