Kinda dredging the armpits of my cellar after a night out and happened upon a few of these and their Grenache sisters. Ridiculously staining and un-clear, showing the early symptoms of gritty orange. Huge mint & euc in the nose, running candied rusty implement buried deep in red-headed, freckled, sunkissed grassy peat. All visceral concentration of fruit, no smoke, no tobacco, some dry hide. The candy intensifies on the tongue, going full-blown syrup with a pine-pitch back. Burnt rubber and jet-fuel, the AL burns a twin path with tannins though the now-lit woods.
