Seems like Australia knows how to make Chardonnay.

Big thick rubber band and burnt wet log explodes out of the nose bringing with it all the lychee, passion fruit and cut floral stem you can handle. Pale canary gives away the fact this isn’t going to be an oaky malo fake-tan body-builder. Thin and bright, ridiculously fruited–I’m drinking this thing at 51° and it is just SINGING on a beautiful taut bright steel rail absolutely packed with all the Chardonnay diddles we love to lick and just enough oak and butter to make your heart go pitter-pat.

This reminds me so much of Dry Creek Valley Chardonnay in the mid-90’s. There’s so much life to it. It doesn’t succumb to any of your Chardonnay stereotypes and that’s what I liked about that Sonoma frontier at that time. I have wanted to try this wine for so long and thank you to @lastbottlewines for offering it up.
