Incredible medium-dark and staining deep ruby. Gratingly dense and steely in the nose, crystalline mint and dark vanilla with chilled barnyard. Way too young, you feel a little guilty but it’s so fucking lithe and smooth and beautiful and Nabokov prepared you for this moment and Polanski wrote the screenplay and blossoming in a way impossible to ignore.
Green gobs of gushing berry fruit, a nose pert and perfectly chalk and sharp berry, tasting clean straightforward smart and searing, a sexy Bordelais with what I suspect is a nod to cab-franc pepper and spice. This is the most beautiful wine you’ve never heard of. And you thought Rick Hill only made baller pinot. Holy shit, son. Buy as much of this as you can afford.
