Nice customary light garnet with a ruby core. Heated nose packed with fruit with plentiful stony goodness, fresh-cut herbs and inner-tube air. All the wonderful Grenache tid-bits wrapped around a core of toasty cherry and fig.
I tried to coax one of our bush-bunnies who live in the yard and love romaine hearts to come out and pose with the wine, but their agent didn’t return my call.
Luscious and ripe on the palate, all that big warm Ballard Canyon bluster pitching a voluptuous fit on every surface. Powerful but generous with the sweet fruit and even with the substantial structure, leaves a luxurious feel. A pinch of pepper livens up an otherwise effortless finish.
These are gorgeous wines from a new producer doing everything right. Hop on it.
