Not so brown until the last few pours. Saturated cork and a little sticky under the capsule but otherwise perfect. Sharp edgy naugehyde and maraschino over fresh-cut weeds–wild lettuce and dill–with sultry espresso and chocolate undertones. Thin and acidic on entry, but fruit still very much a presence. Candied mango and dried apricot, headed thin and astringent, this thing is at absolute peak. All the nutty goodness coming through bouquet AND palate, I wouldn’t kick this thing outa bed for all the money in Fort Knox, and for 100$ it was def the bargain on the Giuseppe’s Pismo Beach list at age 21. THIS is the way I like my Nebbiolo.
